More than 700 excited music fans attended the latest concert in the Dunedin Town Hall yesterday - with Suzanne Prentice (left) singing golden oldies to the golden oldies.
It was a trip down memory lane for Mrs Crawford (85) and Mrs Wright (76).
"I've been to all of them [mayoral concerts]. I went to the first one and I've been coming back ever since. I love them," Mrs Crawford said.
"There's no dancing, though," Mrs Wright added.
"Some people here are well into their 80s, so most of us just sit back and enjoy the concert. All the rest-homes come here and get together for some really good entertainment," she said.
Age Concern "Age on the Go" co-ordinator Tristan Kavanagh said the ever-popular concert was an important part of the programme.
"It's all about getting older people out there being active."
The one-and-a-half-hour concert included entertainment from Ms Prentice, Bill Acklin and magician Jonathan Usher.
