Dunedin's Northern Motorway has been reopened after it was blocked when a logging truck collided with a car near the Botanic Garden this afternoon
A police spokesman said they were called to the crash at the intersection between Pine Hill Rd (SH1) and Great King St North, near the Botanic Garden, at 2.26pm.
Police said Pine Hill Rd and Great King St was blocked heading south in the aftermath of the crash, but both lanes were clear by 4.30pm.
One person received moderate injuries and was transported to Dunedin Hospital, police said.

The driver and sole occupant of a silver Mazda sedan, which appeared to be heading towards North East Valley, was initially trapped but had since been freed and taken away by ambulance.
The driver appeared conscious when he was taken into the ambulance.
The car was severely damaged, with the passenger side caved in.
The driver of the logging truck was uninjured, but a witness said he appeared shaken.

Police at the scene are interviewing the truck driver and witnesses as firefighters work to clear a large amount of debris from the road.
