Museum gets perfect score

The Otago Museum has again been recognised as one of the country's leading tourism businesses by Qualmark, New Zealand tourism's official quality assurance system.

The museum gained a 100% rating for the second year running, after undergoing a comprehensive on-site assessment.

This assessment aimed to ensure the museum met quality criteria focused on service, facilities, safety and systems the business had in place.

Museum chief executive Shimrath Paul said the museum was "very proud" to have gained a second perfect Qualmark rating.

This provided "tangible recognition" of the museum's "hard-working and dedicated team" and showed the sustained quality of the museum's business practices and experience to both tourists and Otago residents, Mr Paul said.

Qualmark is jointly owned by Tourism New Zealand and the New Zealand Automobile Association.
