Neighbour's tip leads police to Brockville haul

A large amount of allegedly stolen property was recovered when police executed a search warrant at a Brockville house this week.

The property was searched after a neighbour reported a suspicious vehicle at a Norfolk St, St Clair, address Electronic items were allegedly taken from the property in a burglary.

Sergeant Steve Aitken, of Dunedin, said a large amount of building tools and golfing equipment taken from a Valpy St, St Clair, property last week was recovered from the Brockville house.

Police were yet to locate the suspect, he said.

Sgt Aitken said it was pleasing to see neighbours keeping an eye out in their communities, as police ''can't do it on our own''.
