No luck on Monster Slide refund

A Dunedin man who bought a family pass to the troubled Monster Slide event cancelled in January says he is still waiting for a refund.

Roger Knauf bought an $88 family pass to the Dunedin event, which organisers called off, citing low ticket sales.

Last month The Otago Daily Times reported a spokeswoman for ticketing company Dash Tickets confirmed ticket-holders would be issued full refunds within 10 working days.

Mr Knauf said he had been ''sent back and forward'' between Dash Ticketing and the company that runs the Monster Slide, Trill Productions Ltd. He said he knew of others who had gone through the same process.

Mr Knauf has emails documenting the correspondence and said he has ''become very frustrated'' with not being able to contact the Monster Slide company by phone.

''Trill Productions asked for my ticket number and bank account details on February 2 and said the refund would take 10 days.

''It's now been a month and a-half.

''You wonder how many other people are out there who still haven't got a refund.''

The Otago Daily Times attempted to contact Dash Ticketing, but was placed on hold for 15 minutes, with no answer. Trill Productions director Jamie Templeton did not return calls on Thursday.
