One hurt as fender bender snarls Dunedin traffic

One person was injured in a two-car crash which briefly stopped traffic in central Dunedin this morning.

Emergency services were notified of the two-vehicle crash, at the intersection of Queens Gardens and Crawford St, at about 11.30am.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said they dispatched two crews to the scene.

Nobody was trapped and they assisted with scene protection.

Firefighters were seen setting up road cones to divert traffic.

A Hato Hone St John spokeswoman said one ambulance and a rapid response unit responded to the scene.

Ambulance staff assessed one patient in a minor condition at the scene.

No further assistance or transport was required, the spokeswoman said.
