Otago Museum rates well

Recommendations from others are playing a significant part in encouraging people to visit the Otago Museum, a recent survey indicates.

Fifteen people indicated a favourable recommendation was the reason for their visit.

Twelve others said they had come to bring the children, or because children had wanted to come.

All characteristics of the museum were rated highly, with ''clean and comfortable environment'' rated the highest of several response options, at 9.6 out of 10.

The Tropical Forest continued to be very popular, scoring 9.7 out of 10 in the survey.

Our journalists are your neighbours

We are the South's eyes and ears in crucial council meetings, at court hearings, on the sidelines of sporting events and on the frontline of breaking news.

As our region faces uncharted waters in the wake of a global pandemic, Otago Daily Times continues to bring you local stories that matter.

We employ local journalists and photographers to tell your stories, as other outlets cut local coverage in favour of stories told out of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

You can help us continue to bring you local news you can trust by becoming a supporter.
