Police were called to a suspicious car fire in Dunedin this morning.
A police spokesman said a station wagon was on fire in South Rd in Calton Hill about 4am.
The fire was extinguished by a member of the public before a crew from Lookout Point arrived, he said.
Police were investigating the arson, he said.
