Southern District Health Board chief executive Carole Heatly was paid between $120,000 and $129,999 in her first four months in the job.

The State Services Commissioner yesterday released chief executive payments for 2011-12.

Ms Heatly took the helm on March 5, so her salary information covers from then until June 30. Her salary appears less generous than that of predecessor, Brian Rousseau who, in the two and a-half months to September 16, when he left for a job in Australia, was paid $200,000 to $209,999. That amount included final entitlements to Mr Rousseau of $32,825.

No salary information is provided from September 16 to March 5, while deputy chief executive Lexie O'Shea was acting chief executive.

Mr Rousseau was paid $510,000 to $520,000 in 2010-11.

Board chairman Joe Butterfield declined to comment, when contacted.
