Dunedin police are continuing inquiries into two robberies and an attempted robbery in the city in the past week.
The BP service station in Mornington was robbed at 8pm on Sunday and Green Island Post and Paper at 11am on Tuesday.
Police said yesterday a man also attempted to rob the Stadium Store in Victoria Rd, St Kilda, on Monday.
Detective Sergeant John Hedges said the man walked into the store about 8.20pm and demanded cash. When the worker refused to hand over any money, the man walked out.
While all three incidents were slightly different, they also had similarities, but police were not yet sure they were connected.
Investigating officers were still interested in any sightings of unusual vehicle activity in the areas of the robberies at those times, as well as information about the offenders, who were described generally as thin Caucasian men, wearing dark glasses, hoodies and jeans.
Anyone with information that might help police could anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555-111, Det Sgt Hedges said.
