Council contract delivery manager Chris Jones said yesterday the new footbridge, required after the demolition of the former, deteriorated one, was on schedule for completion in October.

Artwork would be installed on the dam face next year.

The track from School Creek ford to the reservoir is closed while the bridge is being constructed, he said.
