There was a range of genres available from jazz, rock, easy listening to New Zealand classics.
The sale included CDs, DVDs and records as well as books, sheet music and magazines.
Crate-divers from across Dunedin scanned the available stock which included more than 10,000 vinyl records and 10,000 CDs.

The items were mostly priced at $1 or $2 and people went away with bags filled with goods.
The sale attracted consumers looking to expand their music collection, find nostalgic classics or discover something new.
