Windows of five vehicles in Cargill St were smashed early yesterday, leaving residents angry.
''Nothing was taken from my vehicle, but now I've got to go through all the hassle of getting the window repaired,'' one resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said.
"I'm angry. All it's doing is costing me money.''
Senior Sergeant Steve Larking, of Dunedin, said another car was broken into near Forsyth Barr Stadium on Saturday night and a MacBook Pro was taken.
And at 1.13am yesterday, a Playfair St resident saw their car being broken into by two people, described as 17-19 years old and of slim build, he said.
A police dog was brought to the scene, but the pair were not found.
"People really shouldn't leave expensive items in their cars,'' Snr Sgt Larking said.
