Stolen car in police pursuit

A stolen Nissan Bluebird was involved in a police pursuit last night.

Senior Sergeant Shona Low, of Dunedin, said the car was stolen from Murray St in Kew about 9.30pm.

A police pursuit started just after 11pm.

The reasons for the "short" pursuit being called off had not been logged, she said.

The stolen car had not been recovered, she said.

Meanwhile money was stolen from a house in Dunedin yesterday.

Snr Sgt Low said a window was smashed at a house in Eglinton Rd and the house was entered during the daytime.

The amount of money taken had not been logged by police.

A GPS navigation system was stolen from a boat parked at Taieri Mouth wharf between May 29 and Sunday.
