The 18th of January 2009 was a day of thunderstorms at Purakaunui. At the end of the day they had past, leaving a good amount of cloud that the sun was peeping through. This produced the most magnificent sunset seen in many years. Photograph taken at 9:20pm. I was lucky to catch this scene as a few minutes later it was gone.
