CCS Disability Action Otago plans to sell its Great King St premises this week, and will later move into leased and refurbished rooms in Portsmouth Dr.

The Great King St premises, which have a quotable value of $1.92million, are for sale by "deadline private treaty", which closes tomorrow.

The 1273sqm property had been occupied for about 40 years by CCS Disability Action, which provided "direct support and advocacy for disabled people and their families".

CCS Otago general manager Mel Smith said selling the property was a positive move, and the organisation planned to shift to the new premises by about mid-May.

The refurbished offices would better meet the its current overall requirements, including providing office space for more than 20 staff based there.

More parking, on and off the street, at Portsmouth Dr would also help people who wished to make inquiries, including about the mobility parking permit scheme, she said.
