Suspicious fire at Mosgiel HNZ property

Police are investigating a fire which seriously damaged a vacant Housing New Zealand property in Perth Street, Mosgiel overnight.

Fire crews were called to the property at 2.40am, and the houses either side were evacuated as a precaution.

After the fire was extinguished a scence guard was put in place.

Police are treating the fire as suspicious and investigations are continuing.
