Two off-duty police officers discovered the crash 6km south of Brighton on Taieri Mouth Rd at 11.30am, Senior Sergeant Steve Aitken said.

There were no tyre marks were on the road and weather conditions were good at the time of the crash, he said.
A postmortem would be carried out.
Traffic was diverted for half an hour after the crash was discovered.
