    The Armed Offenders Squad was called out to an incident in Christchurch today.

    It is alleged a man pointed a rifle at a vehicle outside a property in Woolston.

    The man surrendered himself at the directions of the squad and was taken into custody without incident.

    Police enquiries are continuing.
