Christchurch police have arrested a man following the robbery of an elderly woman in suburban Barrington three weeks ago.
Detective Sergeant Ross Tarawhiti said the 85-year-old woman had been in hospital since the attack as a result of the injuries she sustained.
A 35-year-old man will appear in Christchurch District Court today charged with aggravated robbery.
