Police have arrested a man in connection with yesterday's armed robbery of a Palmerston North Kiwibank branch.
A 30-year-old man was arrested at a house in Feilding about 3.30pm, and will appear tomorrow at Palmerston North District Court facing charges of aggravated robbery, a police spokeswoman said.
Driving-related charges were also likely, following a police pursuit yesterday in Feilding.
A man believed to have been involved in the robbery of the Terrace End branch just before 4pm drove off from a routine police stop in Feilding about an hour later.
The driver of the car crashed into a tree and then ran off. Searches failed to find him.
