Arrests after AOS raid on drug house

Armed police in Auckland have arrested four people in a raid on what neighbours described as a drug house.

A police team, including several Armed Offenders Squad members, executed a search warrant at the Tuarangi Rd, Grey Lynn house at about 8am today.

They arrested two men and two women on charges relating to the possession and cultivation of a class C drug, police said.

One of the arrested men was already due to appear in court today to be sentenced on previous charges, including possession of class C cannabis for supply, supplying a class C drug, setting a man trap, and theft of electricity.

Police spokeswoman Noreen Hegarty said the man owned the house and was allegedly at the "centre'' of the drug offending.

The Tuarangi Rd house was first raided by police last August.

It was hit by an arson attack last Thursday after a couch was soaked in an accelerant and torched in a carport.

Residents on the street complained after the attack about the house being used as a tinnie house and brothel.
