A waterfront house in Waiwera Beach north of Auckland has been destroyed in an early morning blaze.
The one-storey property on The Strand was "well involved" when fire crews arrived about 2.30am and the fire gutted the building in about 30 minutes, said Northern Fire Communications spokeswoman.
No-one was inside at the time.
The latest tenants were understood to have moved out of the house yesterday afternoon, Newstalk ZB reported.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
