The alleged murderer of Christchurch pensioner Ken Moore had name suppression lifted by a judge this morning.
Christopher Glenn Gleeson, a 25-year-old manager from Upper Riccarton in Christchurch, appeared from custody at a Christchurch District Court hearing at the city's men's prison today.
He is accused of murdering Mr Moore at his home in the Waltham area of Christchurch on January 6.
Judge Colin Doherty allowed the interim name suppression order imposed during Gleeson's first court appearance earlier this month to lapse.
Defence Counsel Craig Ruane asked for his client to be remanded until February 13 to allow disclosure from the police to continue.
Mr Ruane also revealed that Gleeson faces other criminal charges - unrelated to the murder charge - and will be sentenced on those matters on February 15.
