The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have whisked Prince George away from the rotten weather that has settled over Wellington.
The royal family arrived in the capital yesterday and were buffeted with persistent drizzle and cold winds at an official welcoming at Government House.
Shortly after the ceremony, their motorcade was seen leaving Wellington.
Today is a rest day for Prince William and Catherine to recuperate from their 30-hour flight from the United Kingdom.
The Mirror reported the family would be spending the day at a "private residence" away from the city, with their Spanish nanny Maria Borrallo settling 8-month-old Prince George into a routine.
The destination has been a kept a tight secret, with officials refusing to divulge where the royal visitors are staying.
