An 18-year-old has been charged with assault following the death of a man on Auckland's North Shore last night.
Police were called to a property on Pine Valley Road in Dairy Flat about 7.50pm, where they found a group of about six people, including an injured 24-year-old man.
The man was taken to Auckland Hospital where he died from his injuries about 9.30pm.
Detective Senior Sergeant Kim Libby said an 18-year-old man had been charged with assault and was due to appear in North Shore District Court today.
Police were not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.
The property was under police guard overnight and a scene examination was to be conducted later this morning.
The dead man's name was to be released once his next of kin had been informed.
