An 18-year-old male is in serious condition in hospital after being hit by bus in a Wellington suburb this morning.
The pedestrian was hit by a bus on Coutts St near the Tirangi Rd intersection in Kilbirnie about 11.15am, said Sergeant Mark Moody, of the Wellington City strategic traffic unit.
"We have spoken to a number of witnesses today following the crash, but are keen to hear from anyone else who may have witnessed the incident."
The accident happened several kilometres from the central city, where four pedestrians have been hit by buses since bus lanes were upgraded in November.
