Video: 'Freeze Ya Bits Off' Gold Guitars busking competition

Buskers flocked to the streets of Gore yesterday afternoon to take part in the "Freeze Ya Bits Off'' competition as the Gold Guitars get into full swing.

For eight- year-old Gore girl Brianna Hedley, the competition was a good chance to warm up for the Gold Guitar Awards.

She is entered in three junior sections: countryrock, gospel, and vocal solo. Brianna is no stranger to busking, having entered in the competition last year, but said the weather was much better yesterday.

She grew up with a lot of country music as her mum Patrina is a fan of the genre. Brianna said she was looking forward to performing "Hillbilly Rock'' in the junior country rock section today as it was her favourite song to sing. "Singing is quite a good hobby, I just love singing.''
