A 23-year-old woman killed in a single-vehicle crash near Masterton in the Wairarapa late last night has been named by police.
Aimee Maree Wilson, of Masterton, died instantly when the vehicle she was in hit a power pole near the intersection of Mikimiki Road and State Highway 2, north of Masterton, about 11.45pm.
A 20-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were taken to Masterton Hospital with serious injuries, while the 21-year-old male driver was not hurt.
The serious crash team was investigating whether alcohol and speed were involved, Wairarapa acting area commander Detective Senior Sergeant Sean Hansen said.
