The man who died when his car left the road in Karaka Bay, Wellington, on Sunday morning has been named.
He was Robin Dennis Sayster, 26, a South African immigrant who was living in Wellington.
He was the only occupant of the car and died at the scene.
It was the only fatal accident on the country's roads over the weekend.
