A woman is in critical condition in Wellington Hospital after she was hit by a trolley bus this afternoon.
The incident happened on Willis St, north of Manners St, in central Wellington, about 1.10pm, police central communications shift manager Marty Edghill said.
The southbound lane was closed to traffic as police photographers, the serious crash unit and commercial vehicle unit investigated, he said.
Police were also speaking to the bus driver and witnesses.
