QLD man charged with drunk e-scootering

A man on a rented Lime scooter who blew more than three times the legal blood-alcohol limit after almost crashing into a group of Brisbane diners has been charged.

The 23-year-old man from Caboolture was charged with drink driving and not wearing a helmet after the incident at an inner city restaurant on Saturday night, after which he allegedly almost crashed again as police pursued him.

He had a blood-alcohol content of 0.151 per cent, slightly less than a 43-year-old Brisbane man and fellow Lime scooter rider who faces similar charges after allegedly failing to stop at a red light last week.

The man is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 19.
