Hundreds of people rambled through the annual Balclutha Book Sale last Friday, Saturday and Sunday to pick up a budget reading-fix and peruse local produce.

A Clutha stall-market accompanied this sale, inviting local people and passers-through to sample local arts, crafts and food before and after sifting their favourite genres and authors for a must-read bargain.

The annual sale which usually generates more than $7500 each year was passed on to Clutha Budget Advisory Service this year after being run by Balclutha Rotary for decades.

Funds from the three-day sale will be supplemented by food donations made throughout the sale to support CBAS functions including the Balclutha Food Hub.
