The Central Otago District Council has allowed ChargeNet to install an electric car fast charger at a council car park in Jedburgh St, Roxburgh.
A report to council said it was a cost-neutral exercise as the company was paying for its installation, and it could attract people to the district.
An Alexandra charger became active last month and the council gave permission for another to be installed in Ranfurly.
