The Wanaka Primary School Future Trust was established to support the futures of pupils at the school, but staff were given an insight into just what those futures might hold at a job dress-up day last week.

Miniature doctors, rugby players, rock stars, chefs and airline pilots filled the playing fields at lunchtime last Thursday, along with children in numerous other costumes representing many other occupations.

Several teachers also got into the spirit and there was even a matching camo-clad, mother-son pair of army officers.

The day was a fundraiser for new sports equipment at the school and by dressing up as their favourite occupations, the pint-sized professionals contributed a total of $384.
