A man in his 60s was found dead, in a suspected drowning, in a spa pool at an Alexandra motel last night.
A police spokeswoman said they were called to the ‘‘suspected drowning’’ incident at the Alexandra Avenue Motel, in Centennial Ave, just before 9pm.
St John staff were giving the man CPR next to the spa pool when police arrived, but he could not be resuscitated.
It was uncertain whether the death was related to a medical event.
The death would be referred to the coroner.
A man at the motel declined to comment on the matter.
