The annual event, believed to be one of the longest-running gymkhanas in the country, also includes a horse trek through the Tuapeka district.
About 80 riders took part in the two-day trek.
Event organiser Graham Kenny said there was a great turnout and the day went well.
More than 200 people were present at the showgrounds near Lawrence to watch the gymkhana, dog sales and motorbike trail ride.
Money raised will go towards a new set of toilets at the grounds.
