Central Otago Police will re-enact the last known movements this morning of a man who went missing near Clyde last Monday.

Wayne Hammond, of Alexandra, was last seen leaving his Henderson Dr home in his work vehicle about 7.30am on November 1.

His vehicle — a 1999 white/silver Mitsubishi Challenger 4WD with "RockGas" printed on the side — was found in the car park underneath the Clyde Bridge, at the start of the Clyde-Alexandra track about 3pm that day.

A police spokesman said officers would be re-enacting the drive Mr Hammond took in his vehicle, from his home address to the car park at the same time today, in the hope someone would recall seeing it last Monday.

"Staff will then be with the vehicle at the car park to speak with anyone who has information which may assist."

Land Search and Rescue teams continued to search along the river track and surrounding areas during the weekend, and earlier in the week they used divers to check the river itself.

However, they did not locate anything of interest, he said.

Police are still searching for a male and female cyclist who were in the car park underneath the Clyde Bridge, at the start of the Clyde-to-Alexandra river track, between about 8.15am and 8.30am last Monday.

He urged them and any other members of the public with any information to come forward.
