Plans are under way for a reunion on March 20-22, 2015, to mark the 150th anniversary of schooling in the Cromwell district.

The schools involved are the Cromwell and Districts High School, Cromwell College, Cromwell Primary, Goldfields Primary, Bannockburn School, Lowburn School, the Kawarau Gorge School, Queensberry School and St John's Convent School.
The last district-wide celebration of schooling was held in 1990.
