Good haul: The Alexandra Swimming Club with the spoils from the Otago championships — one of their most successful swim meets this season.
The Alexandra Swimming Club has just completed one of its most successful seasons.

Coach Barry Dick is delighted with the performances of his swim squad throughout the season.

‘‘The Otago champs earlier this year was the pinnacle for us,'' Mr Dick said.

‘‘We were the fourth club overall, behind Queenstown, Waves and Neptune, so we were especially pleased with that.''

Between them, Nicola Pedlow and Emma Dick broke six Otago records at the championships.

The club also had six swimmers competing at the New Zealand Junior Swimming Championships in

Dunedin last month - the largest contingent any club contributed to the Otago team.

They were Rosie Coutts, Isabella Grant, Callum Clark, Cameron Bennie, Briana Clark and Emma Dick. All the swimmers competed well, he said.

Club swimmer Tom Vessey will compete at the division II national junior championships in Wellington later this month.
