Oamaru Police are on the look-out for a Mazda car with a broken headlight and no manufacturer's badge.
About midnight on Thursday night, a vehicle crashed into a ute parked in College St.
The motorist drove off without reporting the crash but shards from a broken headlight and a Mazda insignia were left behind, police said.
