The Hampden Fire Brigade is keen to get back its two "Accident" signs, which went missing from the scene of a fatal accident south of Hampden on March 31.
The signs, which have black writing on a red background, cost $400 each and were bought after fundraising by the brigade, Hampden rural fire officer Graham Aston said.
The brigade was called to the Baghdad Creek crash, in which two men were killed, and put the "Accident" signs out about 100m to 200m each side of the site.
Mr Aston said the signs were left out to protect police and others still working at the site when the brigade returned to Hampden, and had not been seen since.
