Her mother, Joy Macaulay (nee Greaney), won the cup in 1978.
It is the first time a mother and daughter have both won the cup.
On Thursday, Olivia said it was "kind of exciting" to win the award, because she knew her mother had won it "and it would be kind of cool if I won it, as well".
Mrs Macaulay (43) said she was excited and proud because she knew how hard her daughter had worked this year.
Olivia won the cup for her prowess in athletics, cross-country, netball and swimming, while her mother was keen on running, cross-country and netball at the same age.
Olivia's main sport is swimming and she will represent Eastern Districts at a national competition in Rotorua, in March.
