An Oamaru boy had his "Christmas money" stolen at the weekend.
A police spokeswoman said the 12-year-old boy was distracted on his scooter at the Oamaru skate park, in Severn St, when three youths went through his back pack and allegedly took $140 about 4.45pm on Sunday.
Police believed those responsible were aged between 14 and 18 years old.
No further details were available.
A police investigation was continuing.
