More than 6000 spectators and competitors for the Queenstown Bike Festival last week contributed an estimated $2.5 million to Queenstown's economy.
Organiser Geoff Hunt said he was overwhelmed with the growing support and popularity of the festival from the local mountain bike community as well as both national and international professional riders.
''Everyone I have spoken to seems to think it's gone great and I think everyone would have thought we got through the week flawlessly.''
