Summerlands was back for a second time at the Lake Hawea Hotel and despite being beset by less than summer-like conditions, it could have been worse, organiser Leon Eru said.
''I'm actually pretty stoked. It's warm - it's not going to snow, which it did last year [on the hills].''
Wintry weather failed to deter festival-goers at the inaugural event and Summerlands fans turned up in droves this time, too.
More than 1000 people were expected at the festival, where acts including Hollie Smith, Ahori Buzz, Alix Perez, Dub FX and the Funk Hunters made an appearance.
The event was originally planned to take place over four days, starting on December 30.
However, Rhythm and Alps' arrival on the summer festival calendar meant rescheduling was necessary, so the events did not clash.
