Canadian pair facing assault charges

Two Canadian men are facing multiple assault charges after a fight at a McDonald's restaurant in Queenstown this morning.

Senior Sergeant Paula Enoka said the men, both 19, became involved in an argument with three British men at the Camp St restaurant at 3.35am.

One of the victims, who may have been knocked unconscious, was taken to Lakes District Hospital for checks, while the other two had minor injuries, Sen Sgt Enoka said.

One of the accused is facing three charges of assault, and the other two charges.
