The Mercure Queenstown, in the foreground, recently completed a $2.2 million refurbishment.
Hotel general manager Dean Daniels said the refurbishment was focused on its 82 lake-view rooms, along with public areas, which reflected the company's confidence in the business and leisure markets.
The refurbishment included furnishings and decor in the rooms, along with new bathrooms and Wi-Fi connectivity ports.
Mr Daniels said the upgrade had been well received, with Qualmark officially grading it 4-star, which was a "welcome achievement''.
