Thunder Jet's attempt to be allowed to restart its sightseeing trips this summer will be heard in the Queenstown District Court on December 3, the Environment Court announced this week.
Judge Jon Jackson will hear applications by Queenstown Water Taxis Ltd, trading as Thunder Jet, to reactivate the resource consent it operated last summer for four trips a day.
Thunder Jet also applied to strike out specific grounds of the Kawarau Jet appeal against the consent decision permitting the company to operate commercial jet-boats on Lake Wakatipu and Kawarau River.
The procedural hearing notice lists the Queenstown Lakes District Council as the respondent and Remarkables Park Ltd as the interested party.
During the resource consent hearing in July, Thunder Jet said commercial interests were behind Kawarau Jet's legal challenges.
Kawarau Jet Services Holdings Ltd and sister rafting company Clearwater Pursuits Ltd said independent commissioners John Matthews and Leigh Overton did not have the jurisdiction to hear Thunder Jet's applications, after their consent approval in September.
