Ross Copland is leaving his role as Ruapehu Alpine Lifts chief executive, a job he has held since leaving his job as Coronet Peak ski area manager in 2016.
During his tenure at Ruapehu he has overseen significant infrastructure developments, including the new $25million Sky Waka gondola.
His experience may come in handy, as Remarkables Park Ltd looks to move forward with its long-touted, $100million gondola project.
In a media statement, Ruapehu Alpine Lifts chairman Murray Gribben said Mr Copland had made an ``outstanding contribution'' to the ski areas, which experienced a period of "enhanced profitability, licence renewal of the Turoa ski area, significant infrastructure developments including the new $25million Sky Waka gondola, and the roll out of a new digital and e-commerce strategy during his three- year tenure''.
"Ross was the right person for the job in helping us to deliver over $55million of new infrastructure in what is often a very challenging environment.''
Mr Copland will remain in the role until September 30.
He said was "incredibly privileged to have had the opportunity to lead the team at Ruapehu Alpine Lifts during an important transitional period for the company''.
